SERVICE ALERT - Hurricane Irma Causes Delays

Carrier operations are completely suspended in Florida and the coastal areas of Georgia and South Carolina. Additionally, carrier operations are extremely limited in the inland areas of Georgia and South Carolina, including the Atlanta metropolitan area.

No pickups or deliveries will occur today in the suspended areas. Some activity will occur today in the limited areas, but shippers should expect significant delays for freight moving to, from, and through these areas.

Carrier limitations in the areas affected by Hurricane Irma include:
  • Widespread delays for pickups and deliveries
  • Embargoes on expedited shipments
  • Embargoes on shipments with guaranteed service times
  • Embargoes on temperature-controlled services
  • Embargoes on service to residential areas
If you have any questions about how severe weather may impact a shipment, our Operations department would be happy to provide more information. The status of weather advisories can be found at the National Weather Service (www.weather.gov).
